Pay special attention to vinal thorns along the sides of the road. - Refuel your vehicle whenever possible: distances are long and some towns and villages don’t have gas stations. You can refuel in Castelli, Miraflores, and Nueva Pompeya.
- Respect the speed limits within and around the park, even when they seem excessively low: the roads cross wildlife trails, so in order to preserve animals and safety, it’s best to drive slowly and enjoy the scenery.
- Always carry a trash bag: all kinds of waste must return to a location that has waste disposal services.
- Always carry drinking water: access to drinking water in the area is limited.
- At campgrounds and glamping sites, electricity is generated through solar panels. At campgrounds, you cannot charge phones or connect appliances with electrical resistance. At glamping sites, you can charge phones and cameras, but not appliances with electrical resistance
- Always carry a flashlight.
- Prepare for adventure: carry water, food, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Layers of clothing are recommended due to the broad temperature range, especially in winter. We recommend light layers that cover your arms and legs.
- Don’t chop firewood: though it might seem like it’s abundant, it’s necessary for the ecosystem.
- Carry cash: few places accept cards or virtual payment methods.
